Pack a nutritious lunch
Cook your own meals and involve your children in the cooking process
Use restaurant foods as an occasional treat
Encourage children to play outside, rather than watch television or play video games
Encourage children to join sports, dance or other exercise activities
Have a set naptime and bedtime
Take your children to regular medical check-ups
Talk to your children about drugs and alcohol
